What We Do

In 20 words or less:

The Composer Works, based in MediaCityUK's production community, offers ten select UK/US composers - all with complementary styles.

What's different?

This cuts out the work involved in calling around in the hope of finding, for example, a dance composer or an orchestral specialist or a song writer.

Original music

The following are media genres which our composers provide original music for:

  • Film and television
  • Radio
  • Internet

All our composers have fully equipped, state of the art studios with live recording facilities.

Free Sourcing and Placement of our Existing Music

The Composer Works offers a free library music sourcing and placement service. This means that if budgets are limited, we will find suitable music from our various music back catalogues and edit it to picture, free of charge, for use. All our music is PRS/MCPS registered.

Music Supervision and Licensing of Commercial Music

We also advise on music content. If it is a song you are after, but not sure which, or you have an idea of a song for music to put onto picture but need direction, The Composer Works can assist.

Licensing a song can be complicated. We will facilitate it all by overseeing legal and financial aspects of licensing and finalising uses of songs. We work with you to get the best music solution available, either by licensing pre-existing songs on your behalf or creating new ones.
